Md Saminur Islam is a Ph.D. student focused on Educational Data Mining and Computer Science Education Research. His research involves capturing real-time coding activities to investigate students' help-seeking behaviors and identifies patterns of struggle by defining struggles, performance and engagement. His long term goal is to design intelligent systems that detect students' struggles and offer timely, non-intrusive guidance to support learning and promote self-regulated problem-solving.
