Hi! I'm Gabriel! I'm currently a PhD student at NC State, and my goal in academia and research is to find a way to help students that struggle with classes, particularly on CS1 and CS1.5 courses. Hopefully in the future I will become a professor and will be able to bring my research results to my own classes. I have two undergrad degrees, one in Microelectronics and one in Systems Analysis and Development, both from Brazil where I was born. Before coming to NC State for my PhD I spent a year here as an exchange student, and that was the time I decided to work in academia. I've worked with research before, first on Physics and Electronics, and then on Data Mining. This is the first time I'm working with Education. My other interests are music, sports, Electrical Engineering and music. Also, did I mention music?
