Recognition Project:
One aspect of our research is speaker recognition using the automated Lip-Sync that we developed. The ultimate goal is to have a recorded exemplar of an unknown person's voice and a group of persons who may or may not have made the recording, and to determine who, if any of the group, made the recording. The application areas of this research are in law enforcement and espionage detection, both government and corporate. A typical scenario is a recording of a person leaving a bomb threat or revealing corporate secrets, and the use of the recording to identify the culprit.
