Fun with Tangrams

• Find out exactly what tangrams are and try solving three puzzles:

• Check out a brief history of tangrams:

• Look at the relationships between the seven tangram pieces. For example, you might start by considering how many small triangles fit inside the large triangle. Make a list of the relationships you discover.



• Now, make a square using all of the tangrams pieces. What percentage of the area of this square is occupied by each tangram piece?
