Information for Faculty Hosts and Potential Speakers
A few simple steps to assist in scheduling seminars in this series:
If you are a faculty member, hosting the speaker:
- The room 3211 in EB II on the Centennial Campus has been reserved from 4:00 till 5:30 PM each Friday during the Spring of 2006. If you cannot schedule the seminar on a Friday, 4--5:300PM in EB II, Room 3211, please make sure you reserve the room first. See also the computer science calendar and the academic calendar to avoid conflicts with already scheduled events, semester breaks, exam periods, etc.
- at least 1 week before the seminar, fill-in the seminar form on the Web (requires CSC unity login) This form requires that you submit time, date, and place of the talk, abstract, speaker affiliation, brief biography, and home page and e-mail of the speaker. You will receive an email when the form has been processed into a posted document on the Web and as an email notice to faculty and students.
- a day before the seminar,
- ensure that A/V equipment expected by the speaker is available
- contact the support staff if there are special A/V equipment requirement
If you are a speaker, interested in presenting your work in this seminar series:
- See the computer science calendar and the academic calendar to avoid conflicts with already scheduled events, semester breaks, exam periods, etc.
- email a plain-text document with
- suggested time and date(s)
- title, abstract, speaker affiliation, brief biography, and home page URL
- A/V equipment requirements
- to either
- a potential faculty host, or
- Franc Brglez (who will match you with a potential faculty host).
